About Nancye
 |
“I am a self taught artist. After working in the corporate world for too many years, I hung up my suits and heels and took a leap of faith that the universe would support my next adventure. I made a conscious decision not to be “trained” in art for fear of losing my childlike spontaneity. I have evolved from commercial art to “one of kind pieces”. I am inspired by color, form and texture. I am fascinated by faces either young or old. I create dolls from clay, fabric and papier mache, and paper clay to name a few. I sell one of a kind art, including dolls, Santas, altered art, journals, paintings, jewelry and cards. I create collage, fabric books, purses, mixed media canvases and I am addicted to creating stuff. I haunt the thrift and junk stores and decorate accordingly.
I create a variety of dolls. My dolls have been featured in craft shows, boutiques, art shows, galleries and I have been very fortunate to have had several contracts that have made it possible for mass production and world wide sales of my dolls and other figurines. I have designed stationery, other paper products, rubber and clear stamps, jewelry, and clothing along with dolls and figurines. I have been designing for the gift industry for 13 years and I’m now happy share my techniques.”
